It wouldn't make a difference, because these multi-gazillionaires who made their fortunes from raping the Earth would be leaving sizable trust funds to their grandchildren, so that they will be able to afford the best gas masks and obscenely expensive homes in the mountains!

I can see that you do really great at offering economically viable solutions. Have you even investigated the true cost of renewable energy? Environmentalist economically viable equation leaves out ALL capital cost to say it is economically viable.

Those that can afford to install energy systems that aren't in a niche market are looking for a return ON their investment not a return OF their investment.

Yes there has to be a replacement for fossil fuels. At the same time it has to be economically viable. Since the infrastructure is extremely expensive, either the cost of energy must skyrocket after the infrastructure is installed or in the system SELL ABLE SPIN-OFF BENEFITS must be designed in.

The question is will the powers that be, pick-up the gauntlet before it is to late? Items affecting the time table are: the baby-boomers' retirement bill & the availability of energy (1st World's economy)!

Did it ever occur to you that it was the dumb a** Liberals who smugly prevented any more nuclear reactors from being built in the U.S.? Now all the leaders of the major ecological groups freely admit they made a huge blunder. The leaderof the Sierra Club says he wishes he and his colleagues had never protested against nuclear power. If we had developed nuclear power like France did, we wouldn't be dependent on foreign fossil fuels.

These same Liberal dopes kept the oil companies from building any new refineries here either.

While most scientists nowadays are starting to jump on the Global Warming bandwagon, there are some who steadfastly deny man is contributing much to global warming.

Check out my question from last year:

One thing I have heard is that one large volcanic eruption can discharge far more CO2 than man can contribute in any year.

Do you know which state produces the most green house gases (CO2)? Are you guessing Ohio, since it manufactures cars? New York, since it is heavily industrialized?

Guess again.

The answer is: Alaska. Yes, the pristine state of Alaska.
Alaska has huge tracts of Tundra. Most naive tree huggers would look at a foto of that and say, "Gee, if only the whole world were like this, we'd have no global warming". Big mistake. Tundra is a vegetation that takes in oxygen and gives of CO2.

Al Gore and environmentalists who make their money through scare tactics never point this out because it would mean spraying defoliant on large parts of Alaska and Canada. Guess that's a REALLY INCONVENIENT truth.

Do you see how the Liberal media fools people into believing the exact opposite of the truth? Start watching Bill O'Reilly on Fox News, and you'll get a healthy dose of "fair and balanced" news. The Liberal media twists everything around so that people believe the polar opposite of the truth.

Nah we'll be to busy cheering the Drowning of yours.

Global warming may be real.
It may raise sea levels enough to cover Parts of the east Coast, and Florida in a 100 years or so.

So if the above is true .. itll effect everyone no matter their political affiliation.. so youve got a serious mental issue. Good luck with your ranting hate that wont ever accomplish a damn thing

I'll be laughing my butt off when the rising water runs the Democrats out of Boston, New York City, New Orleans, and several other areas. I'm looking forward to making a killing on new ocean front property.
