AMD gives you more bang for your buck as well as twice as much RAM plus consumes less power.

Per Tomshardware:
We got a different picture, however, when we ran single applications on each system. Here, the AMD system performed distinctly better (by just about 30% on average) compared to the Intel system.
Thus, when making a purchasing decision, the question to ask is whether or not multiple applications will be running simultaneously. If the answer is yes, then the Intel Pentium 840 EE is your first choice. Otherwise, the AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ will give you much better performance for single applications.

you should get the 2048 MB memory with an AMD Live! Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor. Cause it has more memory and better features

I think you have shorlisted two best options and my pick is the second one AMD Athlon 64x2 dual core proceesor with 2048 mb memory because you see we are not going change pc every month so,it is a one time investment so,go for the best.

Hardly any software supports 64-bit processors. You can always get another 1 GB of RAM and install it for the Core 2 duo processor. And if you do not intensively play video games, you will hardly notice any difference in performance.
The Intel rig all the way.

If they are the same price, go with the one that has more memory. the AMD live usually means it is a media center pc. if u could provide the proccessor number such as 4600+/5000+/5600+ that would help greatly

I'm going with the Intel too. 64 bit is not what it's cracked out to be. In some cases, 64 bit actually impedes performance.
