The University of Kentucky Wildcats are statistically the best team in Div I mens basketball history. They have more wins, 1915, and a better overall record and winning pct (1915-595, 0.763 win %). North Carolina is second (1880-683 0.733 win %) and Duke is a distant 3rd. UK also has more post season appearances and wins than any other, and they are 2nd all time with 7 championships.

Kentucky and North Carolina are the only 2 teams with more than 1900 wins in their histories, so I'd probably have to go with those two, since they have great teams year after year. UCLA would be right behind, since they have the most national championships.

I believe that North Carolina has won more games than any other program. Kentucky is a close second. Kansas, UCLA and Duke are behind them. In terms of championships UCLA is the best

UCLA and Duke when it comes to titles and wins, but when you get down into scoring, you have to look at the early 1990's UNLV teams and then of course Loyola Marymount from 1989 I believe.
