I own a 1999 Toyota Sienna. When I have the heat set on "HOT" I continue to get cold air blowing through the vents. What causes this and how do I fix it???

I have plenty of heat going to the back seat. The control dial on the dash has alot of resistence.

it sound like the knob that is on the dashboard is no longer attached to the flap that closes the cold air vent form the front and opes the heat exchange. IS THERE ANY RESISTANCE WHEN YOU TURN THE KNOB OR DOES IT TURN TOO FREELYU?

First, check your anti-freeze level. If it's low add some and see if that helps. If it isn't the antifreeze level it could be your thermostat. Check your temp Gage when you car is running. Does it go up? Or, does it stay down in the cold? If the Gage goes up then it probably isn't the thermostat. Also, you could check the passenger side floor, if it feels like it is wet or you see any dripping it is probably the condenser.

I had the same issue about 3 months ago did some research asked a few mechanic friends. I didn't think it was my antifreeze because I just went and had a full service oil change done at jiffy lube and topping off all fluids was part of what I paid for. Well low and behold after checking everything I was low on antifreeze. Put some in that night and I haven't had a problem since. Hopefully it's that easy for you.

Good Luck!

The cool putting on the blowdryer is between the main unconsidered styling aids we've accessible to us. To set your sort once you have used warmth, supply it a shot of cool air.

look to see if you have a Temp guage. It should be about mid point after a few minutes. If your thermostat went bad you won't get heat and the guage won't go up to midway.

It's missing Free-On, and probably you can not fix it yourself. Guess where you have to take it?

That's right! Garage or Dealership.
