I changed the settings to "grayscale" which I think is like draft mode to help cut down on ink. I only wanted to use this for my own personal printing. When I changed it back to regular printing and unchecked the grayscale for a more formal print job, the print is still very light, like it was with grayscale. I changed the ink cartridge even tho it was half full, just in case, but, still having same problem. And I went to every setting I could find to make sure it wasn't still checked Anywhere...help? also, I have a laptop, how do I print "screen" only? not a whole web page....than you

Try this. goto Printers and Faxes from the Start menu/Control Panel.

Right click on the printer and select Properties. Click the advanced tab and then click the printing defaults button at the bottom of the page and check the settings there.

To print just the information on a web page, select the the text you want to print and goto File > Print. in the print range box select the PRINT SELECTION option. Before you do that, check if there is a link for a printer friendly version of the page.

What canon printer do you have?

Grayscale means that the printer will print images text in shades of gray. So if you have a colour image and grayscale is selected it will print the image using only black ink. the color will be printed in shades of gray like a black and white TV. Draft mode means that the printer uses less ink to print the image by decreasing the number of drops it squirts out per inch.
