I was really expecting something great considering Nicolas Cage was in it, but I was sadly mistaken!

O i definately agree!!! I thought it was gona be a good movie myself...it kinda dragged a lil and it did keep you wondering but the ending was crap...i mean it just didnt live up to my expectations either....

I was hoping for more, but the decision to get rid of traditional and still-recognizable pagan symbolism (like Punch of Punch & Judy) and replace it with Neo-pagan feminist tripe really galled me. The ending (except maybe the last 30 seconds) was ... well ... just there. And could Cage's character have pretended to know something about police and the law??
Horrible. And I had some expectations it might not be a total waste.

Totally agree. That was the worst ending I have ever seen. I'm sure the N.O.W. would love that movie ;-)
Anyway, the ending left a knot in my stomach.

OMG - YES! That movie sucked!! I was really looking forward to it and it could have been really creepy, but it was incredibly cheesy and cliched. I knew how it would end about 15 minutes into it.

I just watched it yesterday...
IT WAS AWFUL!!!!!
Not that I think Nic Cage is above this drivel...but Ellen Burstyn?
She's a great actress.
Oh well...you win some , you lose some.
