Well, i get a daily reprieve, ongoing for nearly 3 years, from alcohol and meth.

Alcohol. There were only a couple of years where I was drinking every day and I felt it had reached the 'addiction' stage. I broke myself of the habit but went back to 'binge drinking' for a few more years. I quit all together because is was messing with my mental health, my depression and medications. It 's one of those long term things that would have harmed my liver, etc. if I kept it up so it was better for me to quit while ahead since I am an alcoholic. I'm in AA and it's great for showing people how to deal with life without using some sort of substance as a crutch.

Quit smoking. Was smoking 3 1/2 + packs a day. Have not had one now for 2 years, 5 months. Quit cold turkey.

Yep, I used to drink a fifth of Popov vodka a day, quit Aug 9, 1995. Now the rest of the story, I quit working my program, got married, got distracted, started smoking pot again, within 3 months I had a grow room set up, within a year I was drinking again, been going on for 3 years now, got divorced, got rid of the grow room, and I'm getting back on track. No more booze or weed or anything harder.

You just gotta get being sick and tired of being sick and tired.

Copious amounts of McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, Taco Bell, and Dairy Queen. I lost close to 40 lbs. by cutting that garbage completely out of my diet.
