I've been taking ballroom lessons for 6 years. I'm a competitive dancer and I will continue taking lessons, or as we call it - coaching, as long as I keep competing. The length of the "course" depends on what your goals are. You can learn the basic steps to the extent of being able to dance somwehat confortably for the full duration of a song in about one month of consistent (3 times a week) training. From there, there is no limit how much can you improve on it.

It depends. If you just want to learn to dance for a special event like a wedding or something, you could take maybe 10 classes or so. I took 8 hours of lessons for my wedding. But if you truly want to learn all aspects of ballroom dance, it's an ongoing process. My parents have been taking lessons for years.

No, yet Icontinual by a studio daily and save questioning that I might desire to end at some point and see in the event that they have any variety of "dancing to shed pounds" plans. i think of that that would desire to be a relaxing workout. on the dancing exhibits somebody is often telling how lots weight they lost. of course, i be attentive to that they are dancing for hours daily, yet, I nonetheless think of it may artwork whether you in basic terms went 2 or thrice each week. isn't that approximately how often some human beings hit the health club?
