I have an event to go to and I have a really nice silky brown blouse, but I am confused about what color bottom to wear... should I wear more brown, khaki, navy, black, grey or what??? please help me because I am kind of a fashion dummy. O and the material should it match the blouse or what??

White will look more fresh then any other color together with brown. otherwise you could have beige or green..
But I still think that white is the best matching color..

Have you decided what shoes you are wearing yet? That is something to also tie into this question. If your shoes are black then I would recommend black slacks or a black skirt. If they are brown then I would go with khaki or maybe even white if the brown blouse is a dark enough shade. I hope this helps.

Unless the bottoms are an exact match to the top, then I would pair it with black, then match the shoes to the blouse (brown, with neutral hose, assuming it is a skirt). With a silky top, avoid a wide weave like rough cut wool opnthe bottom, but you shouldn't wear an identically silky bottom.

I think white looks good with brown, and I wouldn't match the material of the blouse with the pants. I'm not that big on fashion either, that's just my personal opinion.

I would either go with a lighter brown, not khaki..its too light or black or even a nice fitting pair of jeans. Your blouse, good jeans and heels would look really cute. Good luck

No more brown. I think a nice creamy color pant with some brown heels would be great!
If you have extra time to shop, I also think a pale blue pant would do nicely-those colors are wonderful together.
