I am happily married, my daughter is 5 months old and currently I am one the pill but I think that it is having different side effects since I have no been pregnant so I want to switch but I don't know what to switch too. What are you opinions or advice? I am not sure if or when I am going to have another child but I am leaning towards the fact that I will. I do not want to get the depo shot because my mom was on that and had horrible side affects so that isn't an option. Thanks in advance.

As I posted above "happily married" abstinence isn't really an option.

I used the Patch, Ortho Evera and never had any side affects. I wouldn't want to use the pill either, miss one and there's a great chance you could get pregnant.
IUD, but they last 5 and 10 yrs so you may want another baby before then?
Try the Patch...it worked great for me when i was on it. Plus you don't have to worry about weight gain like the shot! I have friends that gained a ton of weight from it, the shot i mean.

The shot don't have bad effects on everyone. It just depends on the person, I was on the shot, and I was fine. I also tried several different pills and didn't like any of them. The patch is the last method I was on and it seemed to work pretty good.

At this point, being in the same situation as you (6 months old, want other baby but not right now), our method is the condom.
