It depends on the time and effort that you put into it. You didn't really descirbe what the business plan is. You need to prepare a detailed business plan and then go from there.

What type of business is it? Would you be doing this just for yourself or for others? I personally think that any business can be viable if you believe in your business and are willing to accept the highs and lows that go along with owning a business. I think it can be a profitable, but it will depend on what you are planning on doing with your business and if it can help other people. Good luck.

I think the idea certainly has promise. You will know better than me how much interest you're already getting. I think the success or otherwise of the site hinges on making it as easy as possible to help someone realise the fruits of their talent.

For example, if I'm a recording artist, maybe your site can help arrange studio-time or, better yet, get my demo tape in front of a record label? Or if I'm a budding author, maybe you can help with publishing or put me in contact with an agent? If your site was a "one-stop" for talent to not only find investors but to actually "make it happen", at each step of the way, it would be a huge success.

I think that if you left the talent and the investor to get on with it, you may find that one, the other, or both lose enthusiasm/momentum.

That's just my two-pence worth. Good luck, it sounds like a very exciting project.

All the best.

I can only comment in this way...your website sounds like a 'begging' website. Begging can hardly be considered a viable business over the web (though many people succeed on the streets)

If I saw your site I would skip past it, I cannot see it ever catching on.

Good luck, though, you never know!

There is no way of telling, usually prior to starting a business you have to "feel" the market, for your product, and check that there is no one else operating a similar business nearby who would compete for your trade. If you are starting a web site, that is a little different, but you still need to be sure of your market, as a continuous trade. Do seek expert or experienced advice first.

Are you asking to sponsor YOUR talent or the surfers talent.
If you sponsor the surfers talent, it may be iffy, cos its your money.
Then you have to look at in reverse also.
Good Luck.
