Is there a danger one may become "lost" or have harm done to one if certain roads are travelled along at the wrong time of year?

I think maybe some in the leprechaun-infested back roads of Ireland. Other than that, it's a safe bet not to drive in dark,deserted one-lane roads in the US during Halloween.
