I have some experience with this : "Hotel California", by the Eagles.
If you don't have everyone singing along with at least the chorus, then you just need to break up.

Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison
The Weight - The Band
Have You Ever Seen the Rain - Creedence Clearwater Revival
Wild Horses - The Rolling Stones
You Can't Always Get What You Want - Stones again
Free Fallin' - Tom Petty
Folsom Prison Blues - Johnny Cash
Runaway Train - Soul Asylum
Patience - Guns & Roses
All of the above get extra credit for being pretty easy to play. Good luck.

RE:
What are the best acoustic songs to play to get everyone singing along?
We are in our mid 20's so classics like Mr. Jones, summer of '69, little rolling stones, beatles, etc.
What are some other greats?

Mid 20s classics and the "summer of 69" are miles apart. Try Eleanor Rigby, it's great for a canon or a round oh yea, and there's that 23 century classic "Moon over Rigel 7" that's mentioned in Star Trek 5 movie when they were sitting around the camp fire near the beginning of the movie.

Try Woody Guthrie (This Land is Your Land). If you do Beatles, choose the classics like Yesterday. As suggested by another responder, people love the Eagles and know their songs (me, I had enough Eagles about 15 years ago). If you are going the Stones route, my favorite is Dead Flowers but no one else will know it. Maybe do Waiting on a Friend which is a nice sunny day tune that more folks know.

"Champagne Supernova" and "Wonderwall" are always fun. And any Hank Williams or Johnny Cash.
