I cant give you actual figures, but it is known that being morbidly obese and taking either the contraceptive pill, injection, and implant can reduce the time length in which they work. I remember reading on my injection leaflet that people over a certain weight need to have their injection a bit earlier than people who are not. The same with the implant....it needs changing earlier. Not 100% sure about the pill, but im sure the doc would not prescribe you the pill if he/she thought for a moment it wouldn't work.

I was on Dianette. It CAUSED weight gain for me, cleared up my skins brilliantly.

I would really suggest ur friend tries Cerazette which is much kinder to her body.

I have never heard being over wt will or can effect bc's. While being over wt will effect your periods and your hormone levels it should have no effect on a drug and it's effectiveness. You can always call your local pharmacist ask to be on the safe side.

I think you will find that being fat is the best contraception you can possibly get.
