I mean like, thousands of friends. I think its rather pointless but do they really just sit there adding people all day?

You can add people individually, use a coded button called a 'wh*re me' button to put on your friends page so others can add you, or you can also add your name to a 'myspace train' that adds other people that are looking for the same. : )

Well I know that me and most of my friends have some that are really close friends that we hang out with, then there are the acquaintences, the people that you looked up from highschool or college that you haven't seen in a while then the people that you browse for cause you want to meet people from different countries. Also alot of people will add like bands profiles, or actors profiles to their friends. So thats how you get so many friends on myspace. Hope I was of help:)

Browse though you country or the city you might live in. Thier will be alot of people from where ever you are that you might know. People I don't know I don't add. I love myspace thats only place for some of my friends to talk because of certain reasons. Or just add people that you might think u can talk to about things. Just don't add people left and right because some of those people can be real assholes like me when I get around 100 people wanting to add me daily. There will be people on thier just to sell thier bodies or cams. Unless you want that.

I only add people that I know, I just don't want to have a friend contest, is that what you want? Well a lot of people are musicians so they add lots of their friends, some people are professionals so they add their customers, etc. I can imagine all that, but I don't think I could just add people right and left unless I was someone like that (musician)

They may accept anyone who asks to be a friend. I dont use myspace but I used to. I recieved alot of requests but turned them down if I didnt know them IRL.
