DO NOT GO TO BRIDAL GARDEN -- they are SO rude! The woman in the store WOULD NOT help me at all.
Their web site shows that they donate $ to a charity per dress, etc., but I couldn't even stand the woman's attitude for 15 minutes before I had to leave.
Another friend (also getting married this year) went there looking -- she's a size 8 at best. The woman looked at her and said "we don't have extra large sizes, the larges are on the back wall. They probably won't fit." HOW RUDE!!!

Avenue D and I think 13th (going toward Washington Square Park) on the right side of the street - be careful - you can "miss" the shop if you're not paying attention.
She is next door to a store with furniture in front. There is a lady with a lovely, small bridal shop.
She makes some of the items herself.
Did you try David's Bridal?
