Not all guys are pricks, just a small 99%.
This is how it works:
A girl will tell you that she wants a 'nice guy' etc, etc. But when she is presented with a nice guy there is always a problem, ie: "You're too much like my brother" or the classic "I don't want to ruin such a nice friendship".
At the end of the day, nice guys are everywhere. 75% of them are obese Star Trek nerds, but if you are serious about wanting a nice guy (and don't want to appear as a hypocrite) then the "nerd factor" shouldn't be a problem for you, should it...?
Then again, I've always been of the opinion that everyone are pricks, male or female.

the men who think with the head on their shoulders are generally not the pricks as you call them. Those that think with the head of their p---k, are the ones who are. Find someone that wants to know you for who you are rather than what you have physically or will do in bed

First of all not all guys are pricks just the majority of them are. Why is this you ask, I would have to say because it is a sign of the times. I don't know if you are a very spiritual person but in the bible 2Timothy 3;1-4 says exactly this in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents unthankful, disloyal,having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanders, without self control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of themselves rather than lovers of God. You should Look this up and read it for yourself. I often wondered the same thing but this bible verse makes it pretty clear.

OK, when you think about it doesn't society condone this behavior by men, there are magazines,media,ads all sending the message that its cool to treat people like s h i t . alot of these guys grow up also with mom's calling these guys little princes and spoil the crap out of them. so its so clear why guys are pricks. the thing is to find that one guy who doesn't believe this bull s h i t and treat people with respect

Men's brains are in their pants and have one ultimate motivation, pleasure which is commonly just plain sex. The average man thinks about sex every seven seconds. If your prime motivation was to penetrate something NOW NOW NOW you'd be a prick too.
