should music be allowed to listen to in middle school?

i am an 8th grade middle schooler and we are doing a persuasive article type thing i am doing mine on listening to music in school and i need some facts and statistics and that stuff i will take opions too

The teachers are there to teach you, not play I-pod police. You are there to learn, not play with your toys. Please quit wasting your parents' tax money and leave it in your locker.
