Thank goodness!!! I asked this same question a couple of days ago! lol. I am also 24 weeks pregnant and have been getting sharp pains in the same place! I went to my doctor because I was scared i might be going into premature labor.... but she said it was either braxton hicks contractions *which are fake contractions* or ligaments stretching and maybe even both! Don't worry! However, if you start bleeding, or the cramps are unbearable see your doctor immediatley! Good Luck! I can't wait for our beautiful babies to come!!

I am at 22 weeks right now and I have the same thing happening to me. The dr's just tell me it is the stretching that causes the pain. Sometimes if the baby is right on the area that hurts, it will hurt more so, I just shift the way I am sitting or laying and it feels a bit better.

I had sharp pains to the point that I was in tears and the doctor said it was just the way the baby was positioned and moving that she was probably stretching things.

i'm 22 weeks and i had that yesterday and the day before. they hurt but they weren't like unbearable. they're normal. It's because our muscles are constantly stretching and getting moved so they hurt sometimes like that. Mine started hurting because i was helping my mom rearrange the room. i wasn't lifting anything heavy but i still used my muscles enough to cause it to happen. EDIT: or like the person above me sara said, it could be the fingernails lol. either one. i just know that we do get sharp pain because of our muscles getting stretched and torn because of our baby growing

That's when I started experiencing Braxton Hicks contractions. They're perfectly normal. If you feel like something is wrong at any time though, I suggest going to see your doctor. It's ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry. But my bet is that it's Braxton Hicks.

Baby may have just turned over and head was pressing into the pelvice area. As long as you feel him moving your okay, don't worry. If you experience anything else call your doctor for some reassurance.
