I don't want to use the toaster and get some horrible disease, does anyone know if we should throw the toaster away?

Throw the toaster out and get some Steel Wool from Home Depot.
It comes in a box like package.
You will have to fill any holes with the steel wool that are under the sink, around rads, anywhere that there are small holes.

This method has been used for decades and works.
Don't get a cat the mice can make him sick and it is unrealistic in the office.

It is better to be safe than sorry, so throw out the toaster and buy a new one. They are very inexpensive and it would be faster than cleaning the toaster - which would also need to be disinfected.

Mice are allergic to "oil of peppermint" and will not enter a property where they can smell it. Place a few drops of "oil of peppermint" on a piece of cotton and place it where there is a mouse problem. You will never see the mouse again. Use only real "oil of peppermint", not peppermint extract.

Get rid of the toaster first thing. They are cheap to replace. Then bring in a cat or two during the night when no one is working. If you can't do the cat method, then go out and buy a bunch of those mouse sticky pads and lay around the office before you leave at night.

toasters are pretty cheap - just buy a new one -chanced are that the mouse most likely urinated in there. Don't risk getting sick over a 10 dollar toaster.

Yes, get a new toaster, Then clean up your office. find out how they got in. and get the cat.... Also spray around areas with a risdual spray, They will not cross this and you destroy their path.... Mice follow the scent of each other so when one finds away in.. Others will; follow. BJ.
