i have a pearlscale goldfish that is so fat it looks like a swimming baseball. its something in the breeding of pearlscales -- they are so fat they are round. perhaps yours has some pearlscale mix in it that just makes it a fat fish. here are some pictures of pearlscales --

I would have to say that it's not a problem with it's digestive tract or it would have killed the fish within two years. You fish could just be the pig of the pond and be a bit fat, or of course it could be a she and she is carrying eggs around all the time due to the lack of a ready male. Either way, if it ain't broke, don't fix it I say.

Well there are some kinds of pond fish that just always look like that..but it could be a still birth (yes fish can have still briths)

you will never see that a fish has eggs. the fish in youre pond is supposed to be fat. look at the pictures of other ponds there is always one big fat fish. i had gold fish in my pond they are dirty buy some koi.
