It's letting you know that you need to change the oil. After it's changed the service station will reset the light.

It is probably why my light has been on for 100,000 miles: because any slight electronic anomaly triggers that stupid light!
Take it to your local cheapo auto parts store and they will hook up a meter to your car and tell you what the probable cause is for free, or if it is under warantee, take it back to the dealership, as they will fix anything wrong with it for free also.
Mine is an oxygen sensor malfunction, and I am not paying some dork $200 just to fix it, so I just ignore it.

I have two Hondas. Those lights come on to remind you to change the oil--Always remind the shop to turn it off again whenever you have your car serviced.

the light may of came on because you need water oil something like that i had a car light come on when there was something
getting ready to break but i would say check the oil was transmission fluid break fluid all your fluids and your belts if they are makeing a squeeking noise
