I cannot get intouch with my family, did the tornado hit The villages. They live by the Nancy Lopez golf course. PLEASE help.

Not there but from the local news I gather that it was very isolated in a mobile home park in the area... I believe it was Sunshine Trailer park... They are using the schools in "The Villages" as shelters so I would assume it did not hit the villages but power may be out

The damage in The Villages was south of 466. The Nancy Lopez golf course area is about 4 miles north of 466 and appears untouched at this time except for some telephone and power outages.

Hi Nancy. Don't live far from the Villages. It was bad. They have no power or phones, so you won't be able to get a hold of anyone.
Been watching the news since midnight. Go to wesh.com and get the latest. Hope your family is OK. It was a very scary night for all of us. Lots of homes totally destroyed.

They have been on the news all day and have said that there were no deaths in the Villages but some damage. The power is out in a lot of areas. Go WFTV.com and and you will be able to watch the news on your computer. To my knowledge- the tornado just hit oarts of Volusia Counties off to the east.

I know it is later in the day but the area was very damaged. I hope you have found out how your family is and they are ok. Your family is in my thoughts.
