NEVER USE AN ON LINE SCANNER FOR VIRUS. Those websites download an aplet to your Registry and then its a permanent part of your system.

Use only Norton, Mcaffee, or the free and safe AVG anti virus tools to detect and destroy.

Using Internet Explorer browser, you have a ActiveA running, that allows like Microsoft to update and read you computer files, Unfortunately so can the criminals get into your computer thru ActiveA and do the same.

Go to Tools, Options, and Security, then ActiveA and make sure you got the proper boxes for security checked that you deem necessary.

Get the FirefoxMozilla browser and use that, it has no ActiveA component.

This is a worm virus normally if you have trouble deleting things then this is a sign you might have Brontok virus, do a online scan from the link below' it should find it if you have it.

But it is un-likely to remove it.

and ad-aware for spyware
they are both free and good
