I am a Border Collie. I was born in September 2005, in Fettercairn, Aberdeenshire. I have a large extended family, who I do not meet. I live by a large golf complex and go for long walks. I am just in from a walk round the ranges, where I had great fun. I am bright, playful and very good with the GS's (grandsons x 2). What do you look for in a dog?

Without a doubt the Border Collie has to be near the top of everyone's list. Bright, intelligent, they even have a sense of humour! Playful and good with children, mostly though they do tend to try and round them up. Very handsome dog but shed a lot of hair. My vacuum cleaner struggles to cope with the hair. Ric was a rescued collie cross, well wouldn't you be? A brilliant pet who loved hillwalking. Wept when we lost him. The New Boy is a star. Loves to chase trains. Never caught one yet. A chewer and we have had to keep him in an indoor kennel at the times we are not in the house. Loves long walks and is really good company.

I love Border Collies. They are, by far my favourite breed. Bright, intelligent and friendly. Good with children, a bit nippy sometimes and can chew, but when well looked after, the perfect dog. They need lots of exercise and should get at least one long walk per day. They will chase anything that runs on the road or rails. Never let them off the leash near a road.

I am a sealyham terrier and nobody knows I exist, which is a shame because I'm really rather cool, or at least I think I am, and the big girls seem to agree. You see, although I'm fairly small I'm actually a bag of muscle (bred for badger baiting, and you've gotta stay in shape to deal with those evil beasts, not that I've ever met one, but when I do, just you watch me go). I love Border Collies like you (my ex girlfriend was one - she moved away with her family; it was a very emotional parting). I like to chase tractors and patrol the neighbourhood. Long walks are also not a problem, although I tend to collect shrubbery under my tummy, so I have to have a long shower afterwards (not my favourite thing, but at least I get to shake 'n' shower my humans too). I also beg most of the time (to see out of the sitting room window) which is not good for my back and which the vet man says I have to stop. Grrr.

P.S. Don't fancy a blind date do you? I'll wear a red bone on my collar and be standing by the Eukanuba.

Note from human: apologies to any anthropomorphophobes out there!

I actual have not something which contain a known mixed breed. mixed breeds = mongrels = all diferent from one yet another, they have not have been given any characteristics. i admire my mutt nonetheless, so i think he's my known "mixed breed"... I have not have been given any theory what he's blended with, paradoxically. i think particulary atracted for breeds who've a bad rep, which contain chows, APBT, dobermanns and rottwillers. I very own a chow in the present day and owned countless of this canines interior the previous - incluiding a GSD, canines who human beings do in comparison to too plenty besides - and continually experience touched by way of the affection they supply without looking forward to recieving something decrease back. i don't rescue them using fact it fairly is sort to very own a *risky* breed or using fact i think sorry - using fact i've got continually grown up with those breeds and experience a extensive love for them. My mothers and dads used to bypass away their american staffordshire bull terrier nursing my sister while she became right into a splash one... My woman dobermann as quickly as nursed a clutter of kittens! i fall sick to my abdomen when I hear the tabloids speaking their heads off concerning the pits, etc. definite they may well be agressive like another dogs (have confidence it or not, my neighbour's golden is terrible and mean and has attacked countless kidsdogs) using undesirable breeding, education and proprietors. yet using fact they're extra desirable, definite you're able to take extra desirable care. using fact in case you do, you're transforming into between the main delighfull companions interior the entire extensive international! :) basically for you who think of pit bulls are vicious... did you recognize that, 50 years in the past before dogs battling became into vogue, in case you had little ones and small pets and needed the *ideal kin puppy* you won't get a lab - yet definite a pit bull? The breed could not have replaced plenty, hum? Peace & Love, Amy

I love Cairn terriers. My dog is called Tina and she has an adorable face, typical girl she can hear a chocolate wrapper rustle from half a mile away!!. She has a lovely black/tan coat and loves her tummy being tickled. Tina is loving and friendly to people and other dogs. She loves digging in the sand and going for long walks. Also I discovered a 'buried' sausage indoors down the back of the sofa-no wonder it smelt.

I have had different breeds over the years, but the most gentle and affectionate was my Samoyed. He adored children, who often used him as a pillow on the floor. He has been in doggy heaven for a while now,but I think about him every day,he touched a lot of lives.

Mines a JR x shih stzu. Looks extremely scruffy and cute, and is just the nicest doggy. Cuddly and lazy, but loves to play and go for runs.
I think crosses are good, just for the uniquness, and I like smaller dogs

King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. Because I have one called Dylan and he is amazing. He is affectionate in the evenings and mornings and always gives great hugs. He is always pleased to see me. He is great with kids and loes nothing better to play with Harry the hippo - his cuddly toy, he will chuck it u on your lap by swinging it from his mouth till he has got enough momentum. He loves playing with his doggy cousins - 2 labs and a retriever and doesn't let the fact that he is a small dog get in his way! His favourite things are a family hug - me holding him, daddy hugging me from behind and Dylan around our necks/ heads, eating chicken curry, his weekend walks in Ashdown Forest (Winnie Pooh Counrty), sneaking beer from His Dad's Pint glass (Terrible I know and I swear it is not encouraged!) having a shower - he hates baths but loves jumping in the shower with me. He brings nothing but joy into our lives!

I love all dogs, but I especially love dobermans since watching the film the doberman gang when I was a kid. I also like boxers as they have a great "character" face and bull mastifs and st bernards are lovely gentle giants.
