Originally, "Run It!" was recorded without rapper Juelz Santana but a rap by him was later added to the song in order to make it to appeal to a wider audience, namely rap and hip-hop fans. Upon the release of the single in July 2005, it managed to climb to #1 on the US Hot 100, where it stayed for five weeks. It was also a big hit worldwide, peaking at #1 in the Australian singles chart and debuting at #2 in the UK. After the release of his debut single, in December 2005, his self-titled debut album Chris Brown was released. As well as debut single "Run It!" Scott Storch also wrote, produced and contributed to most of the album. Chris Brown debuted and peaked at #2 in the Billboard Hot 200 albums chart and hit #1 on the US R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart. The album also peaked at a very respectable #29 in the UK after "Run It!" was released there in 2006. On January 12th, 2006, Brown's self-titled release was certified Platinum.An He's Guest Starred On Fridays On Cartoon Network.
