My friend gave me a DVD with video on it. It worked on my DVD player, but when I reauthored it with Nero 6, it didn't work in my DVD Player or Playstation 2, but it played fine on my computer. The original DVD's speed was 8x, but my DVD's speed was 4x. Does the speed have anything to do with it, or is it something else?

It wasn't encrypted, and it worked on my computer, so why can't it work anywhere else?

Was it the same disk - that's to say did you copy a DVD-R to a DVD+R ?

Did you make sure the disk was clean before copying ?

The speed has nothing to do with it. Most likely it is encrypted and, without a decryption program, you won't get a usable copy. NERO doesn't have anything to decrypt DVDs.

You reauthorized it? If its a RW you changed it enough for it not to play on a PS2 or any DVD player except the one in your computer or a RW/R player.
