1. job - steady income.
2. reliability
3. steady - stayed at the same job for a number of years
4. transportation
5. financially responsible. pays bills on time - no bad credit.
aside from these main things, no one really knows how that person will be like once you have committed. One saying goes "come see me, come live with me" and that is how it goes. I've been married for 15 years and it has not been easy but we are committed to making it work and so there it goes. Is that person or are you committed for the long haul?

Love the person soo much that you are willing to spend the rest of your life with them... you can tolerate the things they do, you have some what similar beliefs, the person should be your best friend...the list can go on, but I think more then anything, you just know!

you will know in your heart, if it doesn't feel right, don't do it. Any dout, means it is not right. If there is fire works all the time, not just when you meet? Two years in to relationship can realy show you who a person is and there personality.

next time you tell this person you love them, ask yourself if they bring you joy. to have passion, or reoccuring joy with a person is love and is a good sign you're ready to settle down with them...
