The police just want to make sure they have everything right before they make the arrest (I hope). Just because they didn't arrest them on the spot doesn't mean they won't be arrested. With money, comes certain privileges. You and I would be arrested on the spot, but because the Reid's can afford great attorneys, the cops have to make sure they get everything right. If and when they do get arrested, they will never see the inside of a jail cell for more than a few hours.

Vick got off (no pot, but we no nothing about this "residue" and secret compartments are not for legal activities), Tank Johnson gets to play in the SB after his 3rd arrest on serious charges.

I'm not suprised really. Famous people (or their children as the case is here) get better treatment than the rest of us. Had it been some black guy in brooklyn who got busted for guns (for the 3rd time!) he'd be in jail before you could blink; same goes for some little white kids & drugs/guns had they been any-'ole trailer park kids. It's sad but celebrities/athelets can get away with anything in this society (are we really shocked by anything involving atheletes and crimes after OJ?).

I would wait...It looks like charges should be pressed by someone - the motorist who got the gun pointed at them or the authorites once they figure everything out. If not, I think it would be safe to say a "favor" was given and see if the D.A or Chief of Police gets a few comp tickets :-)

I think I am just going to sit and wait and see what happens. Funny thing is that the Reid family happens to be Mormon (LDS). So it's better to sit and wait.

C'mon now. MONEY AND FAME=POWER AND INFLUENCE. It is not right but it is reality and by the way,I share in your disillusion!!!! Our society puts these people on pedestals and this is the result.
