She called me last night. I let her talk to me but I realize that you can't express what you truly feel over the phone. Are there any little things I can do to lift her spirits and let her know its not her fault.

If you have access to money via an allowance or anything, give her a book she wants. Write her a huge note to be read at home. In other words, give her ways to take her mind out of the home when she's in it if she needs a break. Any break she can get from thinking about what's going on is the best thing you can give her. She's probably feeling completely disoriented because she has no idea what her life will look like a year from now, and everyone needs a break when stress gets too overwhelming. Even worse, she doesn't have any control over the situation.

About all you can do is tell her what you did, and be there as a friend for her to talk too. It's hard on people when their parents divorce, but they eventually have to accept the way life is and move forward.

just be there to listen to her, she'll probably want to talk about it a lot, to vent and let off steam. When the mood seems right, plan fun things, so that she remembers that even though her family is falling apart, there is still life, and fun to be had.
