Whats it like having a gerbil?????

Well like all animals you have to take care of them. With gerbils you can get a lot of tubes and watch them run around in them. I gave them toilet paper rolls and they either hide in them or chew them up which is interesting to watch. sometimes with their running wheel they will get on top. its funny watchin them get up there and then falling down. if you have more then one its funn when 2 are on a wheel, one will just stand there and the other will run so the one just standing there goes upside down. they are really cute and they are easy to play with because they can run around in a little area or they will just run in ur hand. i still think its funniest with the tubes, especially if you just change them they will get lost. the babies are cute too!

You can breed some, observe the parents caring for the babies and make more!! I'm personally looking for a female gerbil to start a family with my lonely male gerbil..

You have a small caged animal that you have to feed, water and clean out the cage. What is the benefit? You have something to keep you company that doesn't take up a lot of room.
