Two different styles of comedy. Jimmy Carr is more of a one liner, quick witted and play on words comedian, whereas Kay's act is more (British) observational comedy. Carr is funnier in my opinion, but Kay will always be popular in this country as he tells stories that all British people can relate to.

Both. They both have different styles of comedy,
Jimmy Carr is more one-lined, witted, sarcasrtic dry sense of humor whereas Peter Kay tells more like stories and makes people laugh as he goes along.
They both make me laugh and Jimmy Carr just comes out with sarcatic comments and still keeps a straight face whereas with Peter Kays acts you can relate to them and laugh about it. E.g Garlic Bread, Its spitttting! and The disco at the wedding One

Peter Kay - Jimmy Carr is a sneary posh prick with an attitude problem. (He also had his own father thrown out of his home and now lives in said residence - nice man.)
PS - looking at all the thumbs down for Peter Kay voters - is this question asked by Jimmy Carr by any chance?

If you'd asked me a year ago I'd have said Peter Kay hands down.
Having since seen Jimmy Carr live I'd have to say he's a lot funnier than he appears to be on the tv.
