I have been divorced almost 4 years and i am remarried, my ex husband does not take care of the children very well (we have 4), they are always getting hurt, come home hungry and dirty, he doesnt do homework with them, etc. they visit him on tues. and thurs. from 4:30 - 7:30 and every other weekend from Fri. @ 5 till sun. @ 5. My oldest son is 12 and hasnt been to his dads in months, he wants to live with me full time - i recently took my ex back to court and asked to have tues and thurs visitation eliminated and he had the nerve to ask for joint custody! so now it will be going in front of the judge. he never cared before but now that he has a gf he wants joint custody and is pretending to be good daddy. the gf recently moved in with him, she is in her 40's, never been married and has no children. a few months ago she was trying to prove her sis as an unfit mother and tried to get custody of her niece - her sis moved out of town, i think ex is being pushed by gf to get custody .......

There are alot of other women going thru a similar situation. It's always good to be able to talk over these type of problems with others who will understand and offer support. Here are two Yahoo groups that would be for you to join. The members are all very nice and could give you advice on custody and dealing with an ex:

Good Luck!

I am really looking forward to this Ashes series and certainly haven't completely written the Aussies off. Having said that England must go into the series as overwhelming favourites due to recent form and the fact that the series is being played in England. I reckon Chris Rogers could be a bit of a dark horse as he knows the conditions over here pretty well. Good to see some friendly banter flying around between the 2 sets of supporters too!

Keep a journal and notate anything that has happened such as when the children's homework is not done ,when they come home dirty ,or wheather they are hungry or whatever has happened. Then when the time comes to go to court ask the judge if you may show them the journal . i am sure any judge in his or her right mind will give it a once over and evaluate it from there .good luck .

make a time-line of what happened when, the coincidence between the girlfriend and her possible influence. Also, take notes about how the kids look, what they say when they come home. Judges are actually very good about seeing the truth, they are used to making split second judgements, and they can usually see through the smoke and b.s. ALSO, make sure you have a good attorney.
