Will I be any safer if I go into my interior bathroom, or am I pretty much in trouble?

I don't know any of my neighbors, I'm afraid. I'd feel silly asking them.

Also, I live in an area where basements are rare.

Get cozy with one of your downstairs neighbors.

Grab a mattress and drag it onto the top of the bathtub, then get in and cover yourself, holding onto both sides and not letting go for anything, after you hear the very loud noise of its close approach, until the noise dies down. Wear sturdy clothing, shoes (boots) and gloves and headwear like a beanie or wool scarf, if you don't have a helmet, and get some protective eyewear from a hardware store. Leather gear is best to wear.

Interior bathroom is better than nothing, but you would be better off to get to a bottom level room, maybe work out a plan with your downstairs neighbor. Good luck!

Yes, go to your interior bathroom. Otherwise, go down to the first floor and hang out by the mailboxes.

If you have a lower level in your apartment, head down there and either cover youself VERY GOOD or hide in a closet or a bathroom and avoid all glass windows.

Go to the basement and hang out by the west wall.

Get in an innermost room, cover with something thick like a mattress, and stay away from windows... (and I don't mean to turn off your computer).
