You see these people getting humilated everyday and you don't do anything about.. Why are u guys used to be treated like animals by your own people.. for example, a police will just beat people up like that.. The government can't do anything about it.. so Anyways it says you're the one who should stand up for your rights.

The system in Egypt is very complex. There are people in plain clothing "watching you".
Too many who can inflict pain or want money for keeping quiet.
It's not as easy as what you have stated.
In America we can say anything against religion or even our government, freedom of speech.
But in Egypt the wrong thing said or the wrong action taken and you will pay the price.

Egypt is not really a democracy...that old man has been president for 25 years or so and then he changed Egypt to a democracy because of pressure that was done by the USA...there were elections...he won with alleged 80%
do you really think the people can do anything about it? anybody who says anything wrong about this president disappears for a while and is imprisoned or tortured...nobody even dares to open his mouth in front of a police officer
AND...if the police does not take care of the demonstration then it's bad for them...if a police officer doesn't do anything he'll probably get fired or something
it's not really easy to stand up for your rights in Egypt if you stand alone
