If you make good money, but have bad credit, you still should be able to get a mortgage, just so long that you have some down payment and can proof your income. The terms of the mortgage may not be the most desirable at first, but you can refinance it after 6-9 months. Provided, you put some effort and stop doing whatever you did to ruin your credit rating in the first place.
Talk to mortgage brokers, do not go directly to local banks. Brokers have contracts with tens of banks and can figure something out for you. Visit several brokers and see what they offer you. Get a copy of your credit report with the score, so they don't have to run it every time you ask for a quote.
Good Luck.

See an independent mortgage adviser or IFA. Some lenders will lend without you having to pay a deposit, eg. GMAC, Northern Rock. The fact that your credit rating is not good may mean that you will be limited to adverse lenders, but I am sure you will find a lender. Good luck

Hi,

it's not always easy to find the right companies. I've done some research and found two which are very reputable and trusted in this field. You might check
them out and then choose one which best suits you:

Hope that helps. Wish you all the best!
