1.
The photons travel with the speed of c=1.
At the speed of c=1 a photon does not has age.
It's time is virtually a dead stop.
2.
According to quantum theory, the particle's mass increases
at approaching to the speed of light quantum.
And at achievement of this speed,
the particle's mass becomes infinite.
But the quantum of light is real particle and
its mass is particular and not infinite.
How to understand this contradiction?
And why the quantum of light has such magic
constant speed of motion с = 1 ?
The scientists invented an artful way to explain it :
the quantum of light does not possess the mass of rest
because it always in motion.
All other material particles have the mass of rest and
only quantum of light has m = 0.
Is it possible?
????
The Soviet/Russian academic S. Vavilov suggested an
interesting idea. In his book 'Isaac Newton' he wrote.
The force, according to the Newton,s Second Law,
is equal to : F= ma.
This force is possible to consider as absolute independent
quantity - impulse. When in case with light quanta
the impulse is equal to: mc.
He continued.
Let us now imagine that light quanta falls on a black body,
and it absolutely absorbs this light quanta
( it means light quanta stops).
Then, according to the Lebedev,s law, light quanta
renders pressure on the black body: E/c.
Therefore it is possible to write: mc=E/c.
It means that according to Classic physics the stopping
light quanta has rest (potential)mass (potential energy):
M=E/c^2 , (E=Mc^2).

When light quantum is stopped, all its kinetic energy is absorbed leaving no energy behind.

There is neither energy nor mass left behind.

What you have shown as is the total kinetic energy of a light quantum which alone has been absorbed.

In the case of material particles, the equation

E = mC^2 is not the energy of motion (kinetic energy).

If the body is at rest, E does not equal to zero but equals m0 C^2.

Therefore, U = m0 C^2 is the rest energy of the body, that is the internal energy of the body, and

THE DIFFERENCE m C^2 - m0 C^2 is the energy of the motion, that is the kinetic energy of motion.

If a light quantum is absorbed there is no rest energy of light quantum and there is no light quantum at all.

E = m C^2 for a light quantum is the kinetic energy of motion.

While energy is equivalent to a mass, the rest energy alone now makes the difference between matter and energy.

Photons have zero rest mass. In fact, I don't think it is even possible for a photon to exist at rest. It is emitted by a particle and moves at c until it is absorbed by another particle. If it never gets absorbed by a particle, it just keeps moving at c, for billions of years sometimes.
