she gives a bad name to AA and addicts everywhere.She could never become Miss America being a true addict or there would be hell to pay from the chaperones to the pagent staff. She's really putting it on thick to save her own butt.

Miss USA, Tara Conner, is the recovering addict, not Miss America, Lauren Nelson. Two totally different pageants, platforms, orgainzations, etc.
While I was certain that Tara would lose her title, I was pleased that Donald Trump gave her a second chance. I think that is is good for Miss USA to be so open about her addictions and recovery. It may encourage others to seek help. I hope she takes this experience and uses it to educate others.
Miss USA does not have the number of chaperones that Miss America does. Miss America is overseen by a non-profit scholarship organization, (MAO). Miss USA is owned by Donald Trump.
Miss America does not advance to any other pageant. Miss USA competes for the title of Miss Universe.

She's an addict? Well that's about right for the real Miss America, screwed up on drugs from all the commercial and psychological pressure.

No. People these days when they do something stupid they just blame it on being an alcoholic and go to rehab and everything is ok, well i'm tired of it they need to stand up and be accountable for what they did.

I don't believe Trump; I don't believe "Miss America"; I don't believe Rosie O'Donnell or any of the other lemon-rind, wincing people on The View.
I think it's *all* about getting ratings, and I think it's disgusting.

I don't see how her personal life
effects her being Miss America.
She deserves her crown like every other one.
