Has anyone ever experienced getting "shocked" everytime you touch something metal while you were in early stages of pregnancy? It seems like for the past couple of weeks everything that I touch I get shocked.

It probably is due to the drier winter weather. A couple of things to try are getting a humidifier and running it in the rooms that you spend the most time in, adding a little extra fabric softener to your wash, don't let the dryer run any longer than it takes to get your clothes dry. If you over-dry your clothing, you take all of the moisture out of them, and that increases static. I have even taken dryer sheet fabric softeners and rubbed them over my furniture and car seats to reduce the static.

When winter comes the air is really dry and static is more evident. Sometimes depending on what shoes you wear will make a big difference.

I don't think it's connected with being pregnant. It's probably just due to the drier air during the winter season.

it's probably just static. it's winter and it usually happens during the dry winter weather. nothing to do with the pregnancy.

I'm having the same problem except I'm 25 weeks pregnant. I think it's my suede sofas....
