I keep receiving a paper jam message when I attempt printing on my HP Deskjet 3940. I have cleaned the rollers, I have turned it on and off. Documents are spooling to it so the connections are correct. What else can I do?

Check if the roller is moving freely. This is mainly caused by dust. If this dosen't solve the problem it's best you take it to a service center.

Just make sure all your paper is totally smooth, no wrinkles or bends. Have enough paper in your intake and check to see if it has any foreign objects inside the printer. If you have anything sharp or hanging out, this may cause a snag. Any of these can cause the paper to snag and jam. Make sure the paper is tight. There is an adjustment that will snug up the paper stack, so it won't be wobbling into the printer. If you continue having jams, take it back and exchange it. There could be something that shouldn't be there, and its causing the jamming. Remember to snug up the stack, so it goes in straight and tight.
