i watched back to the future last night and was wondering that if Marty Mcfly went back to november 5th 1954 instead of 1955 and had to wait a whole year to go back to the future, would he be a year older when he got back to 1985 or would he not have aged at all?

I think it would only be possible to age in your actual time (1985 in this case) because when Marty got back to 1985 he can only be the age he is suppose to be in that year....I hope this makes sense, things get a bit muddled in my brain!

He'd be a year older. The better quesiton is in Back to the Future 2 when Biff steals the Delorian. How can he (The Old Biff) go back to his present when he altered the past?

Interesting question. I think he would physically age but he would probably be the same age he was when he left 1985. Who knows?

(anyway, gotta go finish my paper now)

He would be a year older but to everyone else he'd still be the same age he was when he left.

he would have aged one year.
The answer that asks how old Biff went back to his own time after he changed the past - Biff actually died/faded out when he returned to the future (due to him changing the past) however this bit was cut from the film.

He would still physically age when in the time, so he did age a week while he was there. Time still marches onwards
