The difference is Kansas City, MO is better than Kansas City, KS. Actually what has happened is the city has grown so large that is cross the Missouri river half the city lies in Kansas and the other half in Missouri. Most of the major things you see on tv of the City lie in Kansas City, Missouri. Such as the Chiefs, the Royals, Worlds of Fun, The ***** League Hall of fame.

I believe the main difference is that the two are seperated by a river. One side is in the State of Missouri and the other is in the State of Kansas.

These are two separate cities located in two different states that happen to border each other. Each has its own mayor and council and different local laws. Kansas City, Missouri is by far the bigger of the two.
