Blade Runner was released to DVD as the Director's cut but the Theatrical release was NOT ... what can be done to get the theatrical release released on DVD or perhaps re-released in theaters? The Theatrical version had the narration.

Ridley was never happy with the theatrical release, so when he had a chance, he did his film. (He hated the voice-over)

It is supposed to be coming out this year according to Wikipedia.

Warner Bros. announced in January 2006 the upcoming 25th anniversary theatrical and DVD release in 2007 of the long-awaited remastered definitive Final Cut by Scott.

blade runner was only released as the directors cut on dvd. it was one of the first titles the studio released in the dvd format. Good news is though that ridley scott is putting together a special edition dvd that is coming out either later this year or early next year. Ridley scott puts together the biggest and most packed out dvds of any director

I had the Theatrical version on VHS tape. It had the narration. I don't know why they didn't release both versions to DVD.
