potentially unwanted program (PUP). It is not a virus or trojan.

It is a Spyware program, intended to log keystrokes and URLs of webpages that the user visits. It also logs the applications which were executed on the system.

It can be installed in visible or stealth mode. During the visible mode of operation the startup program icon is visible on the desktop and the "Boss Everyware 2" menu entry is visible under the Start Menu. When in stealth mode it is not visible.

1)Download install and scan your computer with Spybot - Search & Destroy which can detect and remove a multitude of adware files and modules from your computer.

2) Install and run spywareblaster
# Prevent the installation of ActiveX-based spyware, adware, browser hijackers, dialers, and other potentially unwanted software.
# Block spyware/tracking cookies in Internet Explorer and Mozilla/Firefox.
# Restrict the actions of potentially unwanted sites in Internet Explorer.

McAfee comes up with this 'PUP Found!' It says that it is blocking it, and has several options to: let it run - trust this source, remove it completely, or do nothing. I suppose you could remove these things yourself, but looks like this one hides in system restore area where antispy programs can't pick it up.

The easiest way to avoid PUP spyware is to avoid McAffee.

Give AVG a try. It's free and spyware free.
