There is a product on the market called URINE GONE. .It WILL work for stains and odors alike. Made for pets, but will work on human stains too.

Mattress:
1. Try a few drops of hand dish soap to two parts water. Dab the spot that is needed to come out. Don't rub though. Try to get as much water off the mattress as possible though - if you don't you can create mold which is not healthy, especially for kids.
2. For tricky spots: Try ammonia diluted with an equal amount of water. You can also place a few sprinkles of table-salt if is doesn't come up.
3. Rent a steam cleaner from the store. Works perfectly!

Carpet:
1. Mix 1/4 cup mild detergent or soap, with 1 pint of warm water and 2 tablespoons vinegar. Whip into a stiff foam. First, vacuum the rug throughly. Apply the foam and scrub. Let dry, then vacuum again.
2. After you have used the above solution. I would suggest placing baking soda on the spot. Let it set for about an hour or so. Then you sweep it up. I just recommend this because "wee" has bacteria and other germs that can be harmful to anyone that walks or crawls over it. Baking Soda will kill the bacteria and germs. Plus, it will take out any smell that may still be there - just in case. Never can be too sure!

Good Luck! I hope these help you out!

I had a similar problem with a young lad that stayed over visiting with my son... he turned out to be a bed wetter... oh well, no stress.
We cleaned the mattress with "Lestoil" and basically got it soaked... You mix it with water and we just used a small soft scrub brush to get it into the fabric and through into the foam and insides. I let it sit for about 1/2 hour to soak and then used my shop vac (wet/dry vac) to suck it all back out again. It won't get all the moisture out but it does take out about 80%. You have to clean and vac both sides and as I say, it's soaked.
After the vac on both sides, I stood it on end and the remaining moisture runs to the bottom... If you can do this near or on a floor drain, you're golden. You can also visit the standing mattress every hour or so at the beginning to vac the end it's standing on and speed up the process of drying a lot. It dries stain free and has a fresh, clean scent to it that eases and goes within a week or 2. Worked really well for me and should for you too.
Lestoil works really well on the carpet too. I have yet to find a carpet that it changed or affected the colour or the pile. Do the carpet the same as the mattress... wash and wet vac.
Good Luck!

don´t use bleach try some of your own shampoo for the carpet and the bed , with the mattress, use a sponge, good idea if you can do this when there is a bit of sun , like this your mattress will get dried properly , leave it right next to the window so the sun can dry it out after washing it, either that after you have sponged it down dry it really well with your hair dryer

the carpet needs steam cleaned. if the pee went through in to the pad, then you will have to pull it up and replace the section of peed pad.
the matress is likely ruined.

maybe your friend can help with the cleanup?
