I took antibiotics and got a bad yeast infection. Now I am bleeding and my normal period is usually only 3 days and this has been going on for at least 6 days! Should I be concerned?

Your period should help get rid of the infection.
Look out for other symptoms of infection, you may need medical treatment.
In the meantime:
Drink lots of water
avoid any sugary food.
eat natural yoghurt (add some fruit) with acidopholus - you can also buy acidopholus tablets from the chemist.
Ask you pharmacist for a suitable treatment. (Canestan is good)
If it persists see your doctor (as they say!)

See your doctor. Don't just assume it's a yeast infection. I thought all I had was a yeast indection and it turned out to be bacterial vaginosis. If it goes untreated, can cause serious problems. The only way to make sure you get the right treatment is to see your doctor.

Sometimes womens periods vary. The period should also get rid of the yeast infection. Unless your period is overly heavy and lasts longer than tens days, i wouldn't worry.

If you tend to be a worrier like me though, give your Dr a call, and exlain the situation. They will help you.
