This really depends on whether your goal is to locate the blockage or to clear the blockage.
Clearing the blockage can be accomplished using over the counter drain cleaners for minor organic blockages, Plunging/pressure solutions for more stubborn minor blockages, or Professional "Snaking" for more problematic ones.
Locating the blockage itself is a completely different problem but is possible. We have successfully used thermal imaging where we traced the line using an infrared camera, located the blockage (recovering the homeowners Rolex watch their three year old daughter had flushed down the toilet, the reason for the panic call for help). This technology is available but not every plumber carries one of thee $10,000 cameras. A good way of finding someone with the necessary equipment would be to contact a home inspection company or an energy consulting company in your area. rates vary by location but typically run between $150 - $300 dollars an hour. The blockage should be easily discovered inside of one hour.

Follow the sewage line back from toilet and find the Inspection cap
put a plunger over it and plunge to release the blockage, or call a plumber to use a "snake "to get rid of the blockage

We have inspection cameras we send down the line until we find the blockge visually. We then activate a transmitter inside the camera which allows us to pinpoint the spot with a locating receiver. Saves a lot of digging and guessing.

Run a plumbing snake through your drains but I'll tell you, we just went through that last week end and we still had to call a plumber. He took the lid off our septic tank and ran a heavy duty snake up the drain pipe and the clog was about 3 feet up. He only charged us $75 but we had the septic tank lid already off for him so he couldn't charge us for doing that. Good luck.
