Let me answer the flag burner question first,,, If an idiot wants to burn a piece of material..so what ! What it represents can not burn ! Now to Vietnam..it is said we won every battle but lost the war ! This is because wars are only won by winning hearts and minds of the population..the population was not with us ..So now Iraq..a no win situation,,Started by a republican under false pretense..do not question my Patriotiism because the flag you wrap around your self is burning and I'm trying to put out the fire !

No. I understand falsehoods and lies when I see them. I can't help it if you have a hopelessly skewed and flawed perception that leads you on to making generalizations and false accusations.
Nope; it does not bother me at all. I can't help if if you are wrong.
It seems to me that Republicans were in the lead of finding a way to shut down the war. One of Nixon's campaign promises was to find a way to do this. Like the Japanese, French, and later the Chinese were to find out, there was no winning strategy to win in Vietnam. There are so many parallels to Iraq but the key is our invading another country and finding ourselves in an open ended sump with no good options.
I never supported Mr Bush or his war of choice.
A real patriot and some one who really loves America will support shutting this war down, or better yet, never invading in the first place. Real patriots defend the right to dissent.

The sad fact is that we were not losing in Vietnam when the liberals turned the tide on us. Everyone points to the Tet Offensive as the turning point like it was some big defeat. The actuality of Tet was that the US Forces killed more VC and North Vietnamese during Tet than we lost during the entire conflict. Yet, to the liberal mind, that was a loss so they forced a withdrawl of our troops. They forced a withdrawl by turning on the American soldier and turning him into the bad guy. The result was that the North invaded the South and murdered a couple of million of the South Vietnamese that supported the US. You don't even want to know what they did to the Montagnyards.
Now we keep hearing the liberals yelling about how bad things are in Iraq. Things are bad in three provinces but not in the whole country. The liberals keep saying things like 650,000 people are dead in Iraq, which is utter hogwash. Some lib plucked that figure out of his you-know-what and they all started singing it like some kind of mantra. Another lib must have opened the coffin and pulled the wooden stake out of Hanoi Jane's chest because I see she's back doing whatever she can to undermine America. And if you think that the same pattern isn't reemerging, look at that blog piece in the Washington Post where another of those worthless libs is now calling American Soldiers mercenaries and saying that they have no right to criticise those who do not support their efforts. Another typical brain-damaged lib, but that sort of crap gets ink and there he is. We're going right doen the same road and proving Bin Laden right. He said that America doesn't have the stomach to defend itself or its allies, and he's apparently right. What's going to happen when the Pakistanies take over Great Britain and impose Sharia Law? Don't forget, one bullet in the back of Musharif's head and they have a nuclear arsenel. I'll bet that the libs will pass a law that only libs can have access to fallout shelters.

What defeat, we didn't find any WMD's, we did topple an evil dictator. What is going on now is a civil war, the Iraqi people voted and set up a government it is up to the Iraqi people to make it work. If we pull out it won't be in defeat, we have done everything we set out to do. It is now up to the Iraqi people. Trying to enfoce democracy by gun point will never be in anybodys best interest. Flag burning is a right, people have died in wars to give us the freedom to do that. While I do disagree with the act of burning a flag in protest, I do not disagree with the right to do that.

They are protecting him and when they bury their child, dad, mom, or other family members because he cant admit he was wrong in ever letting this **** get this far.......They can be the ones having to live with it. ..

Your idea of patriotism is to send thousands of Americans to their deaths, kill hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians... and to do all of that for oil and for the benefits of arms manufacturers.
You can't align that with love of country, or love of any kind. That's about hatred and greed, and there's nothing patriotic about it.

Can you ask a question or give an answer without resorting to baseless accusations, name-calling, or repeating slogans and propaganda? Use FACTS, not assumptions and speculative remarks. Oh, and flag burners are protected by the Constitution, not by Liberals. So, wassup?
It's easy to support a war when it AIN'T YOU going, or YOUR children or YOUR daddy! Tell me, please, HOW MANY Republican politicians have children actively participating in uniform in the war, in Iraq or Afghanistan? How many funerals of the 3,300+ dead military personnel has Dubya or Cheney attended? While Dubya encourages the kids of other people, his twin tarts are partying it up all over the world... why aren't they in uniform and fighting in the war their daddy got us in, and are WE paying for their airfare and hotel stays all over the world (along with that of their Secret Service personnel that accompany them everywhere) as they party and get drunk and embarrass America? How come Cheney's grown children aren't in uniform fighting in the war, either?
There's an old, old say, "Don't send someone to defecate when you have your own anus" (that's the general gist of it).
WHY AIN'T YOU IN UNIFORM AND IN IRAQ OR AFGHANISTAN?
YOUR form of patriotism is sending others to do the dirty work and risking THEIR lives for you and for the interests of the super rich and powerful that make fortunes from contrived wars by profiteering! Either you wake up to the realities of facts, or get your scrawny butt into the armed services and volunteer to go and risk your own life before you start flapping your toothless mouth and polluting the air with your ignorance and stupidity. Wassup with you? Ya wanna talk about stupidity and incompetence...? How about Brown, appointed to head F.E.M.A. by Dubya and his only credentials: horse show organizer, and he informed the White House (they ignored him, and this is on tape) and they claim not to have been informed?
