I dont know what part of the country you are in but if the rabbit has no access to vegetables they can steal from local farmers then they rely on young shoots of greens and forage for other tender vegetation.

First off, rabbits aren't found in the forest. They stick to the lower grassy areas feeding on grasses, plant bulbs and berries.

Plants - pretty much any green leafy plant... not sure if they'll eat pine products - but anything else is fair game... probably the origin of the term 'rabbit food'...

theres no grass in a forest,and rabbit`s can`t climb trees, so I would say Mushrooms.

rabbits eat plants and grass .. and not carrots as they show in cartoons .. so they will do quite well in the forests....
