Have you obtained a patent on your invention? I have so many good ideas and want to know the best way to get something on the market without investing a lot of money (which I don't have right now...)

3-5k to file a provisional patent application (using a law firm)
14-20k to file the patent application (a provisional patent app is good for one year)
2-3 years waiting on a review by us patent office
2-4k for every patent rejection counter submit

These numbers are subject to the number of "features" you are patenting.

Bottom line....they ain't cheap!

this guy i work with is obsessed with inventing. He supposedly has a patent for a see thru cooler so it doesn't have to be opened at sporting events. Hes real annoying at work, so i really hope it makes him millions, so he quits his job.
